What is Lungoor Voice?
Most people type slower than they think. Lungoor fixes that.
It's a voice-first thinking assistant for macOS. You speak, and Lungoor figures out what you meant - then writes it the way you would have written it if you had the time.
The difference from regular dictation is that Lungoor doesn't just write down your words. It understands the intent behind them. A rambling 30-second voice note becomes a clean message. A half-formed thought becomes a proper email. You still sound like you - just the version of you that had time to write it properly.
How to Start Recording
You don't need to open Lungoor to use it. Just hold or double-tap Fn from whatever app you're in.
There are two ways to trigger Lungoor:
- Quick talk - hold Fn while speaking, release to stop. Works like a walkie-talkie - hold to talk, let go when done.
- Hands-free dictation - double tap Fn to start, double tap again to stop. Great for longer thoughts where you don't want to hold a key.
You can change the shortcut key to anything you prefer - Fn, Command, Option, Control, or Shift. Head to Settings - Shortcuts to set the action, side, and key.

Your First Transcription
1. Trigger recording
Hold or double-tap Fn from any app. You don't need to be inside Lungoor.
2. Speak naturally
Don't worry about filler words or sentence structure. Just say what you want to communicate and let Lungoor handle the rest. You can speak in English only or switch to Multilingual Mode to mix languages naturally.
3. Review the result
Lungoor processes your speech and pastes the polished result. Every transcription is saved in History if you want to go back to it.
4. Reprocess if needed
Not quite right? Switch the Style and hit Reprocess - no need to record again. You can also highlight any text and use a voice command to reshape it instantly.
